Black Screen – Pure Black Display Tool
A full, pure black screen directly in your browser. Press F to go fullscreen. Move your mouse to reveal the toolbar, or press Esc to exit fullscreen.
Save Power on OLED / AMOLED
On OLED and AMOLED displays, black pixels are completely off. A black screen can cut display power draw by up to 60% compared to a white screen.
Reduce Eye Strain at Night
A black screen emits no light. Use it to rest your eyes, pause work without shutting down, or prevent screen glow in a dark room.
Check Backlight Bleed
A black screen in a dark room reveals backlight bleed and IPS glow on LCD monitors — common panel defects that affect dark scene quality.
Use as a Mirror
In a dark room, a black screen acts as a clear reflection. Useful for quick appearance checks without leaving your desk.

FAQ
Dim the room, go fullscreen, and look at the edges of your screen. A glow that fades toward the middle is backlight bleed; blotchy, uneven brightness across the panel is called clouding — both are common on LCD/IPS monitors.
True OLED blacks should show none — a persistent glow across the whole panel usually points to ambient light reflecting off the screen rather than the display itself. Try again in a darker room.
Yes — it's a quick way to blank the screen without a full power-down, and on OLED/AMOLED displays it draws meaningfully less power than any other colour.
